FAQs

What areas do you serve?

1

While we are based in Wasilla, Alaska, we proudly serve the Mat-Su Valley and Municipality of Anchorage.

Are you licensed and insured?

2

Yes! For your protection and ours, we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured to operate in the state of Alaska. We are happy to provide proof of insurance upon request before beginning any project.

Do you offer free estimates?

3

Absolutely. We provide free, no-obligation, onsite consultations to assess the health of your trees and the scope of the work required.

When is the best time of year to prune trees in Alaska?

4

For most local species, like birch and spruce, late winter or early spring (while the ground is still frozen) is ideal. Pruning during the dormant season minimizes sap loss and reduces the risk of attracting pests or spreading disease. However, emergency hazard removal can be done year round.

How do you handle “danger trees” near power lines or homes?

5

Safety is our specialty. We use precision rigging and specialized equipment to dismantle trees in tight spaces. If a tree is encroaching on utility lines, we coordinate with the local electric association (MEA) to ensure the job is handled legally and safely.

Can you help with spruce bark beetle infestations?

6

Yes. The beetle outbreak is a major concern in Wasilla. We can identify infested trees, safely remove them to prevent the spread to neighboring timber, and advise you on how to protect your remaining healthy trees.

What should I do if a tree falls during a wind storm?

7

High winds are common in the Valley. We offer emergency storm response. If a tree has fallen on your home or driveway, call us immediately. We prioritize emergency calls to restore safety to your property.

Will your equipment damage my lawn?

8

We take great care to minimize our footprint. Depending on the season and ground moisture, we use protective mats and specialized low-impact machinery to ensure your yard remains in great shape.
